Every year AK Advantage supports various charity groups through different fundraising activities. Our office in Melbourne has its own charity called the Children First Foundation.
The Institution's work focuses on facilitating a medical/surgical evacuation program for operable conditions readily available in the Western world. RECYCLING MOBILES
Residents in Australia are being asked to donate mobile phones which they no longer use, to help fund local charities, instead of throwing them away. Our Melbourne office is proud to be taking an active part in this program in order to raise money for its Children First Foundation. Every mobile phone donated raises $5.00 for its charity, Children First Foundation (CFF).
This initiative forms part of a wider program called the Aussie Recycling Program. ARP was launched in 2003 by its founder and Managing Director; Australian, Steve Moss. The aim of the program was to identify and coordinate activities which benefit the wider community. ARP says advantages of mobile phone recycling program include:
- providing an alternative to landfill for the secure disposal of mobile phones through re-cycling
- presenting the Telecommunications Sector with cost efficient, total environmentally beneficial solution for the disposal of their telecommunication equipment
- encourage sustainable development through business example and voluntary endeavours, both nationally and within local community
