Please be advised effective 01 October 2007 the Government have implemented new changes to Working Time Regulations this is to ensure Temporary Workers are taking time off for Holidays and Public Holidays.

The entitlement will increase from 20 to 24 Days including Public Holidays.

All Aker Advantage contractors who are paid on a PAYE basis will have received:

  • A revised Variation to Contract letter stating your Rate including Holiday Pay effective 01 October to 31 December 2007 and changes effective 1st January 2008.
  • A revised Temporary Workers Agreement to include the specific changes.

What are the Changes effective 01 January 2008?

  • The Basic Hourly/Day Rate for your Services and the Agreed Holiday Pay to be Accrued. (Based on a maximum 40 hour week).
  • Holiday Year will run from 1st January to 31st December (Pro Rata on Joining).
  • Maximum 24 Days including Public Holidays (If you have not Accrued enough Holiday Pay you are eligible for Holidays unpaid).
  • No Holidays can be taken forward from 2007. (Holiday Pay Accrued must be claimed for).
  • Termination of Contract (Holiday Pay Accrued must be claimed for).
