Aker Powergas Pvt Ltd had rapid growth in the late Eighties and Nineties. On its own, the company has engineered and constructed several projects in south East Asia, Egypt and Australia in addition to several large grass root projects in India.

Currently it is providing design and engineering services to Aker Solutions offices in the UK, USA and the Netherlands for projects in USA, Ireland, India and the Netherlands. Aker Powergas Pvt Ltd has state of the art IT and communication links to provide high value engineering to global standards and has modern offices in Mumbai and Pune measuring 100,000 sq. ft. The Company grew nearly 30 times in turnover in the last 15 years under the leadership of Dr Rama Iyer and continues to maintain its position as the leading process and construction company in India.

Aker Solutions in India employs approximately 950 people, mostly graduates and postgraduates in engineering science and commerce.
