The Civil, Structural & Architectural Department has a range of experience working on projects, studies and tenders for water, sewage and effluent treatment facilities.
Our participation in these areas includes front-end design studies, detail design, vendor and subcontractor co-ordination, working within multi-disciplinary teams and Design and Build contracts. CS & A Department’s involvement relating to these projects includes:
- • Project development within multi-disciplined teams.
- • Assistance in achieving optimum solutions of hydraulic profiles and construction.
- • Development of estimates in conjunction with our in-house estimating group and/or in association with contractors.
- • Civil , Structural & Architectural design by our in-house design group.
- • Appointment and management of architects, landscape architects and consulting specialists.
- • Liaison with statutory authorities.
- • Specification and management of site surveys, geotechnical and environmental site investigations.
- • Development of ground engineering solutions.
- • Value engineering including ongoing layout development and a flexible approach to the selection of systems, materials and constructability.
- • CDM Risk Assessment.
- • CS & A contribution to HAZOP reviews.
- • Civil experience associated with the deep shaft process.
We apply our expertise and lessons learnt from projects of all sizes ranging from new major projects to relatively minor improvements to buildings, structures, infrastructure and underground services to existing treatment works.
- • Design of control buildings, transformer rooms, sub-stations and plant/storage buildings.
- • Assessment of existing buildings and refurbishment.
- • Design of foundations, water-retaining structures and management of post-tensioned tanks suppliers.
- • Design of structural steelwork buildings and support structures.
- • Infrastructure design and the design and co-ordination of underground services.
The Civil, Structural and Architectural Department has worked closely, within alliances, partnerships, joint ventures and task forces with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors and other engineering disciplines. We can work closely with you to provide CS & A services, as part of a multi-disciplinary team - as part of your team.
