Through the process of laser scanning, point cloud analysis and remodelling, time and money will be saved compared to traditional mapping methods. Uncertainties in design can be minimized and the number of surveys in all engineering phases will be reduced.
The 3D model is established using Microstation, Cloudworks and a number of Aker Solutions developed Microstation applications. The Microstation 3D model may be exported to other 3D CAD environments such as PDMS and PDS.
