The CS&A team takes a multi-disciplinary approach to project work, providing optimal solutions for customers. This can include early involvement in the project process to assess land suitability and stability, and also involves detailed practical understanding of planning and building regulations issues.
The team also has a strength and depth of experience in repairs and inspection, especially issues that are common in ageing assets, such as addressing corroded steelwork and concrete repairs. Liquid containment, including bunding under existing assets, is a specialist area in which the team is highly experienced. Draughting capability includes 2D and 3D modelling. The team offers heavy lifting studies, including both transport of heavy or bulky equipment to site, and the design of the actual lift itself.
The extent of expertise in the team allows the offering of engineering approval authority services to customers. Nominated personnel may act, for example, as Design Authority or Responsible Engineer for a customer.
