The EICS team works either within a project environment to deliver integrated EICS scope, or on standalone tasks to deliver electrical, instrument and control system solutions and expertise.
Within a customer organisation, the team also provides staff to work within multi-discipline projects or on specific EICS tasks and solutions. Many within the team have the experience and flexibility to function effectively across all the disciplines within the group, for example providing E&I or I&C support to the customer.
Where a full time site presence is not required then part-time resource can be provided, with continuity of personnel being assured wherever possible.
The team is experienced in the application of statutory regulations and other standards and provides total solutions that reflect the requirements of IEC61508, CE marking (e.g. ATEX, EMC, Machinery Safety), Electricity at Work Regulations, etc. On projects with Safety Case constraints, the engineering of Safety Requirements into EICS systems, the related Design Justification/Substantiation and their impact on workflow are well understood. Nominated personnel may act, for example, as Design Authority or Responsible Engineer for a customer.
The EICS team provides technical specialists to customers to enable them to independently assess vendor proposals and to ensure that the solutions meet scope at best possible cost.
