The Piping and Mechanical team provides expertise in the design, selection and procurement of piping systems, mechanical (rotating equipment), vessels and heat exchangers, HVAC and buildings services, and other specialist areas. Both 2D and 3D modelling can be provided.
In addition, the team has specific expertise in stress analysis, finite element analysis, seismic analysis, structural assessments, fracture mechanics and defect assessment, creep/creep fatigue and dynamics and impact analysis.
These services may be provided to a customer as part of a wider project for new plant, for the modification and refurbishment of existing plant, or on a standalone basis. Engineers can be provided to work within a customer organisation, either full- or part-time to suit the workload. There is extensive experience in practical PER / PSSR compliance regimes, and approval authority services may be provided through nominated individuals.
