Total engineering capacity is presently in the range of 200 engineers, and covers all disciplines and phases from concept definition to construction and commissioning/follow-up engineering. All relevant engineering tools and analysis/simulation computer software are available, including state of the art 3D Computer Aided Design tools (PDMS/PDS/Pro-Engineer).
Projects are executed in accordance with Aker Solutions' very successful Project Execution Model (PEM) in order to ensure timely, consistent and high quality project deliveries. Design reviews, Hazops, Hazids, FMEA’s etc. with client participation are an integral part of the PEM.
Aker MH has the last decades delivered a significant number of drilling facilities on an EPC basis. The in-house engineering capability has been a key element and a prerequisite for the successful delivery of these. In addition to providing engineering services to in-house projects, drilling engineering services can be provided to clients as follows;
