Floating Production Storage and Offloading Vessels (FPSO)

The Group has a comprehensive product portfolio ranging from the well known "Tentech FPSO" concept to new FPSO generic designs for arctic operations and Floaters for LNG re-gasification, production and offloading.

New generic FPSO designs have been develop for the last years to meet new markets for operations in benign waters as well as for arctic waters with ice-reinforces disconnectable turret moored monohulls and buoy concepts (e.g. buoyform)

FPSO Background

The FPSO history started in the early 1980s with the development of a monohull production platform, which resulted in the first-purpose built FPSO in the North Sea, Petrojarl 1. This design has successfully operated on several locations both on the Norwegian and the UK continental shelves since 1986. Since then, the Tentech FPSO design has been chosen for additional six (6) projects in the North Sea region representing approx. 50 % of all the purpose built FPSOs in UK and Norwegian waters.
