Semi-submersibles:
Beginning in the 1970s, the group developed its Aker H3 designs for semi-submersible drilling platforms. Since then 37 Semis have been built to Aker  H3 and H3-42 designs.

Most recently, Aker Solutions has developed the world's biggest and most advanced drilling semi, Aker H-6e.These designs and their successors proved to be very competitive and flexible, bringing Aker Solutions as a successfull frontrunner for such platforms.

Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO)
Almost 50% of all purpose-built FPSOs in the North Sea are built by Aker Solutions designer. Some 91 FPSO-based field developments are expected on stream worldwide by 2006.

Tension Leg Platforms (TLP)
Aker Solutions has developed several new TLP concepts for a series of water depths, production capacities and environmental conditions, and is dedictaive to make TLP an attractive solution for even deeper waters.
