A series of 15 concrete structures, both fixed and floating were designed, constructed and installed on the Norwegian Continental shelf between 1971 and 1993. In the 1990-ties, Aker Solutions specialists participated in international concrete platform projects and also developed the portfolio of conceptual designs. Two more concrete gravity based platforms were constructed in Russia and installed offshore the Sakhalin Island summer 2005. Currently, an offshore LNG receival, storage and regasification terminal is constructed in Spain for installation in the Adriatic Sea, Italy.
Close cooperation between conceptual design, engineering, work preparation in the construction yard and construction management enables a safe and optimum design combined with efficient construction. The combined efforts from Aker Solutions companies enables us to deliver complete offshore installations and field development solutions.
