In this latest generation process, the MDEA is activated with a secondary amine that accelerates the relation of the CO2 with the aqueous solvent. The speed of reaction can be modulated by the choice of activator. This process thus permits either complete or controlled removal of CO2, for “made to measure” sweetening solutions.Licensed processes can be offered.
