SMS and SES unitised wellheads

The SMS (surface metal seal) and SES (surface elastomer seal) unitised wellhead systems represent a unique wellhead design developed for use on a platform or land-based applications. SMS The SMS system offers metal-to-metal sealing designed for pressures up to 15000 psi. High load capacities are provided through a patented split ring that distributes the wellhead housing. This system saves time by allowing BOP testing to be done with bore protectors in place.  It also utilises running / retrieving / test tools that operate with little or no rotation, expediting installation.   SES The SES system offers all the features of the SMS system except the sealing elements are elastomeric.     >> Back to surface products main page
