Energy-from-Waste facilities

Aker Solutions has been involved in waste to energy projects for over 30 years. Plants built in the UK include the installations from the 1970’s at Nottingham (Eastcroft), Coventry, Exeter and Birmingham (Perry Bar) and the contract currently being undertaken for the Isle of Man Government. Aker Solutions has extensive experience covering all the major components of Energy from Waste facilities including: Waste Cranes Incinerators Boilers Gas Cleaning Plant Turbines Air Cooled Condensers Residue Handling Recent experience also covers two waste gas incineration facilities. Aker Solutions received an award for engineering excellence from the IChemE in 2001 for the installation at the Ineous Fluor Rocksavage Facility. The US Protection Agency also presented a Climate Protection Award to Ineous Fluor for the plant.
