Corporate governance
Aker Solutions aims to ensure that the maximum possible value is created for its shareholders over time. Good corporate governance shall ensure an appropriate distribution of roles between the owners, the board of directors, and the leadership group, and also contribute to reducing risk and ensuring sustainable value creation.
The corporate governance principles of the group are laid down by the board of directors of Aker Solutions. The principles are based on the Norwegian Code of Practice for Corporate Governance of 21 October 2010 (as amended on 23 October 2012) (the «Code of Practice») and tailored to support Aker Solutions’ core values, including in particular (i) “Open and direct dialogue” and (ii) “Hands on management”.
