Aker is making a new industrial film, four years after the previous production, which was a big success domestically. The new film will feature contributions from Aker employees, which were recruited through a series of talent competitions.
It is hardly surprising that Aker employees have skills withing egineering, biotechnology, fisheries and related subjects, but the making of the new film also unveiled many hidden talents within the group.
The new film will feature people reading a specific text, which requires strong and clear voices. So in August, auditions were held in several of Aker’s locations, including Oslo, Kristiansand, Arendal, Stord, Bergen, Tranby and Stavanger.
The contestants were enthusiastic and plentiful, and the local panels, did their best impressions of “pop Idol” and “Britain/America’s got talent”. The panels came up with shortlists, which were sent to the film producers. These then made the final selection of voices, which will feature in the film.
The film is currently in production, and the end result is expected in early September. More details about this project will be revealed here at myAker in the coming days and weeks.
