“The next challenge is to execute the project in a flawless manner,” says SVP Major Subsea Projects, Knut Sandvik, who highlights the establishment of a dedicated Major Subsea Projects organisation as an important step towards further developing a strong delivery culture in Aker Solutions‘ subsea business area.

Commenting on selecting Jack Holter Johns as project director for Goliat, Knut said: “Jack was the project director for the Oyo project offshore Nigeria, with Eni as the customer. He knows the customer and that is an advantage. Oyo was a complex project which he managed in an excellent manner. He has the right attitude to create a mindset in the project that ensures we deliver on the totality of it. We are confident he is the right man for this job.”

Jack Holter Johns said: “It is going to be a great challenge. I feel both proud and humble to take on this big project. We have some of the best specialists in Aker Solutions working on the project, and I’m really looking forward to working with these guys.”
