In October 2010, Aker Solutions participated in the 16th Underwater Technology Conference (UTC) held in Bergen, Norway. Watch a video interview with Tom-Erik Dahl from the UTC here.
The UTC is one of the largest international forums and meeting grounds for the subsea community. More than 500 delegates and exhibitors attended the event including executives, managers, politicians, engineers and other strategic and planning personnel related to the subsea field of the petroleum industry. Many of the major operators in the subsea field are located in and around Bergen which makes the region a strong subsea cluster and perfect location for the conference. Aker Solutions was one of the major sponsors of the event.
The conference is combined with an exhibition, where over 40 companies participated from all over the world. Click on the link below for a video report showing our stand, the models and an overview of the UTC ‘10 sales and marketing objectives.
During the conference a number of papers were also presented by key Aker Solutions staff including:
- Svenn Ivar Fure, Senior Vice President Subsea Products presented ‘Time to industrialise the North Sea?‘
- Sergio Sabedotti, Project manager presented ‘Subsea building blocks for slender wells.’
- Ole A. Heggedal, Technical manager umbilical/DEH systems presented ‘Pipeline heating systems for continuous operation.’
