By using advanced computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and 3D modelling techniques, the impeller accelerates the fluid evenly over the entire blade, optimising energy transmission and efficiency. The drive unit and the strengthened gear box are made specifically for top mounted agitators and are extensively field proven.
In order to ensure the best possible agitation, STEP Offshore’s experienced team of engineers are available to help design mud tanks for optimal agitation on new rigs and platforms. The CFD software is available in-house for verification of agitation and solving of difficult fluid dynamics problems.
