Sacks of drilling fluid additives are fed onto a transport conveyor up into a cutting chamber. This can be done directly, or from a sack pallet lifting table. The sack is then split by 4 high speed rotating knifes inside a cutting chamber. This ensures that the sack is properly split, without causing parts of the sack to contaminate the powder.
The sack and contents fall into a rotating drum, where the powder escapes through a mesh into a dosing screw conveyor. The drum ensures that the sack is properly emptied before it is discharged into an enclosed dust free waste bag handling system.
