Verdande Technology AS is a spin-off from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and was established in 2004 by a group of students and professors from the University.
Verdande Technology’s core technology is founded on the principle of case-based reasoning, a technology based on the principle that similar problems have similar solutions. DrillEdge, Verdande Technology’s software package, is developed to assist drilling engineers in lowering risk, increasing rates of penetration and reducing non-productive time while drilling. Verdande helps operators to re-use knowledge in order to diagnose and avoid costly drilling problems before they escalate.
Verdande is headquartered in Trondheim, Norway, with representatives in Stavanger, Norway and Houston, USA.
