SMACS6 Master Control Station
The SMACS6 Master Control Station provides complete control and monitoring of subsea installed equipment and surface electrical and hydraulic power units.

Controlled by dual redundant Industrial PC’s based on the proven industry standard IBM compatible PC hardware architecture, running on the world wide standard 64 bit Microsoft® Windows™ Server 2008 operating system.

The dual redundant architecture of the SMACS6 MCS eliminates single point failures, ensuring that the process is maintained.

The field proven SMACS6 is derived from a system design that has been successfully deployed on over 150 control systems worldwide.

Key Features
• Use of industry standard industrial protocols such as OPC, Modbus/TCP
• Remote access over thin internet client
• Easy live installs of software service packs and modifications.
• Years of historical data may be trended, analysed and reports generated.
• Communications drivers to most PLC/DCS systems
• Supports interfaces to 3rd party devices
• Modular designs within an industry standard cabinet
• Handles interlock conditions, shutdown sequences
• Easy to configure
• High availability and hot swap capability
• Full diagnostics of power, communications and instrumentation
• Long term supportability

iCon™ - Master Control Station
Advanced topside management and connectivity for the iCon system.

The iCon™ MCS control unit is installed topside to provide detailed management of subsea iCon systems.

The iCon Master Control Station (iConMCS) provides complete control and monitoring of subsea installed equipment and surface electrical and hydraulic power units.

Dual redundant Allen Bradley PLC’s provide a protected highly reliable core for performing all critical functions. Paired with dual networks subsea and topside it provides monitoring and control to Operators at the DCS or via local Operator Workstations.

The dual core architecture of the ICON-MCS eliminates single point failures, ensuring that the process is maintained.

The default ICONMCS configuration supports up to 21 Modules. With the modular design this can easily be configured to suit various field layouts.

Key Features
• Modular designs within industry standard cabinet
• Standardised hardware and software
• Easy to configure
• Dual Alan Bradley PLCs
• High availability and hot swap capability
• Dual Modbus and OPC interface to DCS
• Integral Engineers workstation for control, monitoring and maintenance function displays using ICONICS Genesis 32 SCADA application
• Valve closure sequences
• Operator and Process interlocks
• Supports interfaces to 3rd party device
• Suitable for various field layouts.
• ESD hardwired Inputs
• Full diagnostics of power, communications and instrumentation
• Remote access
• On line upgrade options

Hydraulic and electrical power units
Topside-installed power options for the iCon™ system. The hydraulic power unit (HPU) provides a stable and clean supply of hydraulic fluid to remotely operated subsea valves.

Fluid is supplied via the controls umbilical, the subsea hydraulic system, and the SCMs to operate subsea valve actuators.
Aker Solutions can offer one of our standard pre-engineered HPU’s which decreases our lead time to delivery this product to our customers.
The electrical power unit (EPU) provides a controlled, monitored, electrically isolated and stable electrical power supply to the dual redundant power distribution networks of a subsea control system.  The EPU is powered from an uninterruptible power supply (UPS).
