2009 hydrate inhibition conference

MEG experience conference in Oslo, Norway. 13-14 October 2009
Calcium carbonate crystals

The MEG system is one of the largest and most complex units in the process train on a FPU/FPSO or a land based facility and is essential for steady production from a gas field. Based on the experience Aker Solutions has had with delivering and participating in both commissioning, start-up and operation we have learned that:

Operational experience is the key to understanding the MEG system.

Aker Solutions has delivered five MEG systems that are in operation and two in the execution phase.  Various experiences have been made by the different projects and we believe that it would be of great interest for all operators that have selected Aker Solutions' MEG technology to exchange the experience with other operators.
