Desander liners
For a sand collection and washing package, the Aker Solutions offers wide range of DS-series liner style hydrocyclones. DS-series liners are small enough to provide the necessary sand separation and washing efficiency, yet large enough to handle large particles.
The DS-series liners range from 1.5 inch to 3 inch nominal diameter, and consist of a pressure retaining vessel with several ceramic cyclone liners contained within. The DS-series cyclonic liners are used in applications at any flow rate and fine separation size.
DS 1.5:
- Duty: PW desanding
- Separation size: 10-20 microns
- Max particle size: 4 mm
DS 3.0:
- Duty: PW desanding, sand washing
- Separation size: 40 microns
- Max particle size: 6 mm
DS 3.0 XL:
- Duty: Course sand removal
- Separation size: 40 microns
- Max particle size: 12 mm
Turndown
The desander can achieve large turndown, either manually by blanking out liners or automatically by a multi chamber solution with automatic closing and opening of chambers. The vessel is then split in up to four chambers and they can be closed off by automatic valves.
