Aker Midsund, a subsidary of Aker Solutions, is a high-tech company offering market design, engineering, project management and manufacturing of pressure vessels, process vessels and storage tanks to the oil and gas market.

Aker Midsund has leading competence in stainless, acid-proof and high-tensile steel including clad material and its products are used by major oil and gas operators.
The company was founded in Midsund on the northwestern coast of Norway in 1973. In the late 1970s, it started building pressure vessels in stainless steel for gas and chemical tankers and later on process equipment like separators and scrubbers for the oil and gas Industry. The company was bought by Aker Solutions in 2009.
The company's facilities are located at the seafront with an area of 80 acres, including a workshop of 3000 square metres and lifting capacity of 250 tonnes.
