Scope of work for Aker Solutions is FEED work for the hulls for the semisubmersible Central Processing Facility (CPF) and Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) for condensate treatment and storage.
Aker Solutions is applying world-leading technological expertise on the Offshore Facilities FEED contract for the Ichthys Project in the Browse Basin off northwestern Australia. Aker Solutions has a well established track record in the field, having built more than 50 floating facilities since 1972 - mainly in the North Sea and Gulf of Mexico.
AMEC is the lead contractor for operator INPEX Browse Ltd. Aker Solutions is carrying out the CPF and FPSO hull FEED engineering work as a key subcontractor. FEED is the project development phase in which the plans for the offshore and onshore facilities are defined, designed and evaluated in more detail.
The Ichthys Project is designed to an initial capacity of more than 8 million tonnes of LNG per annum, approximately 1.6 million tonnes of LPG per annum and 100 000 barrels of condensate per day at peak.
