Gullfaks C

Gullfaks C started production 4 November 1989. The platform mainly serves as a oil and gas recipient from platforms as Gullfaks A and other fields, such as Vigdis and Visund. At the time of construction, Gullfaks C was the world's largest offhore production, drilling and quarters platform designed for 220 m water depth. The base has 29m deep skirts piled into the clay on the site giving a secure foundation for the platform.
