Ready to shape the global energy landscape and drive sustainable solutions worldwide?

Join Entr: Where your ideas and insights create lasting impact

Entr is the dedicated consultancy arm of Aker Solutions. We are at the forefront of the global energy transition. From low-carbon oil and gas to cutting-edge offshore wind, CCUS to hydrogen, we're tackling the energy transition head-on.

At Entr, we don't just adapt to change – we drive it. We transform bold ideas into groundbreaking insights and deliver impactful solutions that shape the energy landscape.

We deliver expert consultancy services that shape the future of sustainable energy, combining both our technical expertise and early phase advisory services to de-risk and maximize value in energy projects worldwide.

Here at Entr, ideas drive us, insights guide us, and impact defines us. To accelerate our growth, we are seeking talented individuals who are creative problem solvers, collaborative team players, and continuous learners driven by innovation.

To support our journey, we are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to join the team in our prestigious West London offices.

You will be part of a team that develops innovative electrical solutions for a wide range of energy projects, including offshore substations, oil and gas platform electrification, green hydrogen plants, and carbon capture facilities.

What will you be doing?

As a key member of the team, you will:

  • Produce electrical design philosophies and key overall Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) for both greenfield and brownfield projects, shaping the future of sustainable energy infrastructure
  • Develop load lists and contribute to overall Basis of Design documents, playing a crucial role in project conceptualization and execution
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create innovative solutions for HVDC and HVAC offshore substations, green hydrogen plants, and carbon capture facilities
  • Work closely with clients and external consultants, presenting ideas and reviewing power system analysis results to ensure optimal electrical system performance
  • Contribute to cost and scheduling estimates, equipment layouts, and heat load calculations, driving project efficiency and sustainability

We think you should have:

  • A minimum of BSc or BEng degree in Electrical Engineering, with at least 10 years of experience in concept and pre-FEED projects
  • Proficiency in power system analysis software such as ETAP or PowerFactory, enabling you to conduct critical studies for system optimization
  • In-depth knowledge of high voltage systems (up to 400kV) and experience with hazardous area electrical equipment
  • Expertise in a wide range of electrical equipment, including GIS, power generation, transformers, switchgear, and emergency power systems
  • Strong understanding of IEC standards, EU Directives, and best practices in EMC, earthing, and lightning protection
  • Excellent communication skills and experience in client-facing roles, contributing to effective project delivery and stakeholder management
