The Floater and Marine Technology group at Fornebu consists of about 30 passionate engineers looking for a new colleague with the ability for conceptual thinking and a heart for system design, both high-level and detailed.

Are you our new Senior Systems Engineer?

Our core competencies range from semi-submersible production/drilling units and TLPs to spar buoys and FPSOs. Based on our extensive experience in oil and gas projects, our group is rapidly expanding into new technologies within the renewable market. For floating offshore wind, we are developing concepts for floating wind turbines and floating substations. In aquaculture, we design and engineer structures for exposed and open sea fish farming.

What will you be doing?

As our new Senior System Engineer, you will be part of the systems engineering discipline and perform all system design activities from tender- to concept- and FEED phases. Development of new technical solutions within own field of expertise in early phase engineering such as concept studies and front-end engineering.

Your responsibilities will include:

Systems development and design of:

  • marine systems: ballast system, bilge system
  • utility systems: diesel storage, freshwater production, storage and distribution system, compressed air system, cargo storage and handling systems
  • aquaculture systems: feeding systems, monitoring, mort handling, fish transport

Engineering activities:

  • develop systems philosophies, specifications and reports
  • arrange client presentations of results and studies
  • provide input for 3D modelling and intelligent diagram production systems
  • quality control of all system deliverables

We think you should have:

We are looking for technical, consulting, and commercially minded individuals who can help us meet the challenges of the energy transition. Additionally, we're looking for individuals with:

  • a higher education degree in engineering in relevant disciplines (e.g. mechanical engineering, process engineering or equivalent)
  • minimum 5 years of relevant work experience with system engineering from energy/renewables/offshore markets or deliveries
  • broad experience across systems
  • strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken; fluency in Norwegian is preferred
