Our Calgary team is growing, and we are seeking a FEED/Study Manager to help lead our expanding portfolio of decarbonization and CCUS projects in Alberta. Join us and play a key role in advancing innovative, sustainable energy solutions.
What will you be doing?
- Leading our project team to carry out FEEDs and studies with the following responsibilities
- Designated main point of contact and responsible for the project work towards client organization
- Establish and maintain good professional relationships with the Client
- Ensure adequate reporting mechanisms are established and provide regular feedback to clients and steering committee as required
- Establish active dialogue with rest of the organization and ensure communication and reporting is provided internally.
- Providing input into the development of scopes of works budgets and schedules
- Ensure that work is performed in accordance with schedule and budgets and take necessary corrective actions.
- Ensure that the FEED scope of work is clear and understood by the team
- Manage resources, systems and methods necessary to deliver scopes in accordance with requirements.
- Ensure that methods and procedures are established and followed
- Ensure that relevant contractual requirements are communicated and understood by the team
- Establish and secure follow up of verification activities to ensure quality of FEED and study work.
- Leading or providing input to tender work according to company tender procedures and internal governance
- Assist our team with attracting resources to grow locally
- Assist with BD work and meetings with new clients as required
- Lead Value Improvement work and provide consultancy to clients as required
- Act as a role model and establish and maintain a positive working environment
- Lead and develop the team
- Understand and act in accordance with project HSE policy and Aker Solutions governance
- Take personal responsibility for developing a positive culture in accordance with company values / code of conduct
- Proactively seek processes, solutions and methods which will enhance client value, reduce costs and improve schedule for our new energy projects
We think you should have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- Current registration with APEGA as a P. Eng
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience
- Proven leadership experience in project FEED/study management or discipline lead roles
- Broad knowledge of design and project delivery within a Multidiscipline team
- Exposure to new energy solutions and in CCUS value chains is an advantage
- Project execution experience and fabrication knowledge are an advantage
- Excellent communication skills in English (both verbally and in writing).
- Demonstrates an efficient and structured approach to work, combined with strong service orientation and a focus on delivering effective solutions.
- Works collaboratively as part of a team and exhibits a strong work ethic, with a proactive and positive approach to challenges.
- Shows curiosity and openness in understanding customer needs and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Adapts effectively to changing priorities and thrives in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
