Our Project Team is now looking for a Material Controller to support the West White Rose Project.

What will you be doing?

  • Distribute tools/equipment to employees and contractors via sign-out sheet.
  • Issue any additional PPE required by crew.
  • Manage and maintain the consumables container.
  • Ensure all tooling has been returned to tool crib.
  • Liase with Construction Leads on missing / non-return tooling from their workgroups.
  • Inspect tools for damage or wear and tear.
  • Monitor and manage tool/equipment calibration dates.
  • Maintain inventory records.
  • Order new tools as needed.
  • Maintain tool crib and consumables / PPE containers cleanliness and organization.
  • Train new employees on tool use and safety.
  • Support Material Controllers with offloading and backloading containers.
  • Implement changes to procedures related to personnel, tools and PPE.
  • Comply with safety regulations and company procedures.

We think you should have:

  • Supply Chain and Logistics Diploma or an equivalent combination of training and related experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Mechanical/E&I and/or Civil Construction.
  • Experience with inventory management and organization.
  • Experience managing multiple tool cribs on busy industrial construction site.
  • Knowledge of tools and equipment used in the manufacturing industry.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects.
  • Strong organization skills and ability to multi task.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
