Our Corporate Agreements department is responsible for managing frame agreements across various categories on behalf of all segments within Aker Solutions. As Senior Category Manager IT, you will be responsible for shaping the supplier strategy for the IT category, working closely with product owners and stakeholders to develop category strategies and business cases that create long-term value. You will drive performance, strengthen supplier relationships, and ensure cost-effective and compliant processes.
Based at Fornebu, you will join our Corporate Agreements team and collaborate across sites and segments to build a strong internal network. This is a strategic role that offers the opportunity to influence key category management decisions and support Aker Solutions’ broader operational and digital goals.
What will you be doing?
- Manage the IT category, fostering strong supplier relationships through global and regional frame agreements and contracts
- Identify and develop business cases and category strategies in collaboration with IT and product owners
- Deliver systematic and sustainable cost reductions by optimizing spending and strengthening process controls
- Own category networks, driving collaboration with IT function and business owners with active support from key stakeholders
- Manage and run negotiations with relevant suppliers
- Manage supplier relationships by monitoring performance and risk, and driving supplier development and improvement initiatives
- Support effective contractual governance and ensure compliance both internally and with suppliers
We think you should have:
- Degree in business, economics, technical, or IT-related discipline with 10+ years of relevant experience in supply chain processes and IT procurement
- Proven ability to define, communicate, and execute strategies in fast-paced, operational environments
- Commercial and analytical mindset with strong negotiation, contracting, and supplier relationship management skills
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with a proactive and energizing approach to contributing to a collaborative and supportive environment
- Ability to manage stakeholder relationships, build trust, and support alignment on change initiatives internally and externally
- Strong and professional communication skills, preferably in both English and Norwegian
- High standards of professional integrity, with the ability to manage competing priorities and workloads effectively
