Our Sunrise Wind Project team is now looking for an O&M Specialist. This position will be based in our St. John's office with possible business trips to USA (Rhode Island).

What will you be doing?

  • Responsible for defining O&M scope, monitoring progress of O&M plans, and ensuring O&M packages are ready for acceptance post-commissioning.
  • Champion and promote environmental, health, safety, and quality management within O&M activities.
  • Define scope and deliverables for O&M packages in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Monitor progress of O&M plans/ work instructions/manuals, ensuring milestones and deliverables are met.
  • Coordinate with commissioning teams to ensure seamless handover and readiness of O&M packages.
  • Support project controls, including change management, procurement, contract management, cost control, scheduling, and risk management for O&M scope.
  • Liaise with operations, engineering, and corporate functions to ensure alignment and support.
  • Represent client interests and interpret requirements for O&M deliverables.
  • Conduct post-acceptance evaluations to identify lessons learned and opportunities for improvement.
  • Drive a safety culture and compliance with HSSE policies throughout O&M activities.

We think you should have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technical diploma or equivalent operational experience
  • Current registration with PEGNL as a P.Eng (or equivalent) is an asset.
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in O&M, engineering, or construction environments.
  • Strong project management and leadership skills.
  • Experience in multi-discipline projects and ability to prioritize critical issues.
  • Proficient in management of change (MOC) processes and stakeholder interfacing.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with O&M planning tools/software.
  • PMP designation is an asset.
