Our Commitment to Customers During COVID-19

Aker Solutions is monitoring the COVID-19 situation globally on a daily basis and follows the guidance from the World Health Organization, International SOS, Center for Disease Control and the Norwegian Institute of Public Health.

Protecting the health and safety of our employees and striving to deliver for our customers and our joint activities are our top priorities.

Aker Solutions has robust plans in place and our Crisis Management Team is continually monitoring the spread of the virus globally, in line with specific country guidance where we have operations. Country teams have been initiated for all Aker Solutions locations and are managing the business continuity response in line with advice from local government.

Awareness of COVID-19 and actions are communicated through projects managers and via several internal communication channels to our employees. Aker Solutions also communicates measures to visitors entering our premises.

Company-wide, all international travel is cancelled until further notice with the exception of personnel who are on international rotation or for critical business continuity. All travel is assessed by HSSE Vice Presidents and authorized by the CEO or COO.

Aker Solutions employees will use alternatives such as video conference, Skype- or Teams meetings, or postpone the meetings.

Commitment to Our Customers

  • We aim to communicate transparently and proactively regarding risks in our supply chain potentially impacting our customers through the ongoing projects
  • We are in close dialogue with our suppliers and local teams in affected areas and provide regular updates to the projects
  • We are working closely with our key logistics suppliers to monitor the situation. They are working closely with the authorities, complying with the country specific regulations and implementing mitigating actions where possible.

Norway

In Norway, legislation has been enacted by the Norwegian Directorate of Health under the Health Emergency Act, in order to further prevent the spread of the virus in Norway. In addition to following the advice on quarantine and working from home given by the Norwegian Institute of Public Health, we have also implemented the following measures:

  • Employees who need to be at our premises will work in rotation and with distancing between people
  • Larger meetings have been cancelled
  • Employees working at fabrication sites must limit interaction with others
