Aker Solutions secures new flexible office space in Bergen

Aker Solutions has signed a long-term agreement with the owner and real estate developer Bara Eiendom AS for flexible and modern offices in Kronstadparken, Bergen, designed around shared-use principles.

Aker Solutions’ Bergen office will move from Sandsli to Kronstadparken, near the city center, in 2027. The new location will offer a dynamic workspace tailored to collaboration and new ways of working.

“This is a significant milestone for Aker Solutions in Bergen. The new building is designed to enhance teamwork and efficiency, supporting our modern ways of working to improve project execution and deliver the best outcomes for our customers. It also provides the flexibility we need to quickly adapt to changing project demands,” said Silje Skarstein, location manager for Aker Solutions in Bergen.

Aker Solutions’ new office space covers 8,300 square metres and will accommodate the 700 employees based in Bergen. The building has approximately 16,400 square metres of gross floor area.

Kronstadparken’s location offers benefits such as easy access to both bus and train services. In addition, the office concept is built on shared-use principles, with meeting rooms, canteens, a gym, and other facilities available to neighboring buildings and tenants, supporting the efficient use of space and resources.

The leasing period for Aker Solutions’ current office ends in February 2027.

  • Owner and Developer: Bara Eiendom AS owns the property and is the responsible developer.

  • Completion Date: The building is scheduled for completion around the turn of the year 2026/2027.

  • Size: The building will offer approximately 16,400 square metres of gross floor area (GFA), with around 12,500 square metres allocated to office space. The remaining area will include restaurants, a meeting centre, and shared facilities.

  • Sustainability: The project is being developed with a strong focus on environmental performance, quality, and sustainable solutions. It will meet Energy Class A standards and achieve BREEAM-NOR Excellent certification, in line with Aker Solutions' sustainability goals and ESG commitments.
