Visioneering Center opens in Stavanger to support safer, more efficient project execution

Just before Easter, Aker Solutions opened its new Visioneering Center at GNIST in Stavanger, giving customers and project teams a dedicated space to visualise, test and align complex offshore operations before execution. By bringing visualisation, simulation and immersive technologies together in a shared digital environment, the centre supports safer, more efficient and more predictable project execution.

Supporting better decisions before offshore execution

Complex projects require early alignment across disciplines and stakeholders. During the opening, customers and colleagues experienced how immersive digital environments can be used to visualise and test offshore operations, review scenarios and align execution plans across functions in a safe virtual setting. This shared approach helps reduce uncertainty and support better-informed decisions before work moves offshore.

Key benefits include:

  • Better shared understanding of scope and execution
  • Safer and more predictable operations through rehearsal
  • Reduced offshore time, cost – and fewer people onboard

This short film shows how the Visioneering Center is used to support project planning and execution.

“Having a shared digital environment makes it easier to align early and reduce uncertainty before offshore execution,” said Arun Joshi, Visioneering Manager, Aker Solutions.

A tool for projects and customers

The Visioneering Center is already being used to support projects and customer collaboration and will continue to be applied across Aker Solutions’ Life Cycle Services as part of the company’s digital approach to project execution.
