CDP Report
Aker Solutions discloses through CDP via the Climate Change Questionnaire. The company received a score of B for the 2023 report.
The questionnaire provides a framework for companies to provide environmental information to their stakeholders covering governance and policy, risks and opportunity management, environmental targets and strategy, and scenario analysis.
GRI Index
Through 2023, Aker Solutions reported on sustainability in accordance with GRI Standards (GRI 1: Foundation 2021). Our 2023 GRI Index is included in the appendix of the 2023 Annual Report. Our 2022 Sustainability Report should be read in conjunction with the 2022 GRI Index, to get an overview of the full extent of the report.
TCFD Recommendations
Aker Solutions follows the Financial Stability Board’s Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) recommendations. The recommended disclosures and our responses can be found in the Climate Risk Review.
The report summarizes our climate scenario analysis and climate-related risks and opportunities for Aker Solutions and includes key findings, gaps and recommendations.
Independent Assurance Statement
For 2024, Aker Solutions’ Sustainability Statement in accordance with CSRD, has been subject to a limited assurance audit engagement by PwC. The independent assurance statement can be found at the back of the 2024 Annual Report.
Aker Solutions commissioned LRQA Group Limited to provide independent assurance on the company’s greenhouse gas emissions in 2021. The assurance engagement covered Aker Solutions and its subsidiaries in global operation.
The Independent Assurance Statement includes emissions data for Scope 1, 2 and 3 for 2020 and 2021.
Materiality Assessment
Aker Solutions commissioned Position Green to complete a comprehensive materiality assessment. The independent assessment considers the significance of actual and potential impacts, risks and opportunities and determined the company’s material topics for reporting purposes.
Emissions Methodology
Aker Solutions strives to report climate accounting that is accurate, transparent and as complete as possible. Our Emissions Methodology Statement describes how emissions data is collected, calculated and presented and is based on the GHG Protocol Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard.
