Aker Solutions' semisubmersible ocean cage aquaculture system is designed to withstand harsh offshore environments when submerged for long periods of time, protecting fish against heavy waves and sea lice.

The cage is equipped with a double net barrier system to prevent livestock from escaping. This unmanned, self-contained concept includes feed barge functionalities and remote monitoring and control and is available in two open cage designs, for 3000 and 6000 tonnes biomass.
