About us
We have over 165 years of proud history in hydropower, dating back to 1853 when Kværner first began building hydropower expertise in Norway. We have been involved in some of the world's largest hydropower projects, including the Three Gorges Dam in China. Together with Hymatek regulator products and control systems, our equipment is installed in numerous plants, both in the Nordic region and internationally.

Digital Twin:
Aker Solutions has created a digital twin of the waterway and turbine. This simulation models the turbines and waterway system, helping with predictive control, monitoring, and status updates.
It is typically used to optimize plant operations, provide status information for the entire waterway, and assist with production planning.
