1. oktober 2020 – Under kyndig veiledning fra Kværner-lærling Arne Linga, startet statsminister Erna Solberg i dag kutteroboten som markerer byggestarten på Hywind Tampen, verdens største flytende havvindpark. Hywind Tampen er et viktig prosjekt for omstillingen av norsk industri. Byggestarten markerte således også startskuddet for fremtidens industriarbeidsplasser i Kværner.

Kværners topp moderne nye verftsområde på Stord er nå ferdig til avtalt tid og budsjett. Anlegget vil bli offisielt åpnet onsdag 16. september av stortingsrepresentant, medlem av Stortingets presidentskap, tidligere Stord-ordfører og mangeårig industrivenn Magne Rommetveit.

17 September 2020 | Kvaerner has signed an agreement with Wood Norge for deliveries related to the upgrade of Gassco`s  gas treatment and export facility at Kollsnes at the Norwegian west coast. As a subcontract to Wood Norge, Kvaerner will primarily provide construction for new units to increase parts of the plant’s capacity to process gas. Kvaerner’s contract is worth approximately NOK 200 million, with some options for additional scope.

Aker Solutions won an order from ConocoPhillips to deliver the subsea production system for the Tommeliten Alpha development offshore Norway. The estimated contract value is about NOK 1.2 billion.

Aker Solutions ASA (“Aker Solutions”), Schlumberger and Subsea 7 have entered into agreements to form a Joint Venture (“JV”) to deliver a step change in subsea production economics by helping customers unlock reserves, reduce time to first oil and lower development costs while simultaneously delivering on their decarbonization objectives.

The front-end engineering and design for Keadby 3, which could become the UK’s first power station with carbon capture and storage has been awarded to Aker Solutions, Siemens Energy and Doosan Babcock.

Aker Solutions' revenue and margins increased in the first quarter of 2022. The company delivered another quarter of solid performance and continued to demonstrate that it remains on track with its transformation and growth targets. Projects globally continued to progress well, tendering activity continues to be very high, and the market outlook remains positive.
