In 2018, Sunnhordland Kraftlag (SKL) decided to build Løkjelsvatn hydropower station in southwestern Norway. The power station uses water from the Løkjelsvatn reservoir. The water is led through tunnels to an underground powerhouse equipped with a Francis (measured as the drop from the reservoir to the turbine). Aker Solutions supplied and installed mechanical equipment in the powerhouse, consisting of a Francis turbine, a main inlet valve, a turbine governor system and a cooling and drainage system. Aker Solutions, together with Aker Carbon Capture has been awarded a full front-end engineering and design (FEED) contract by Hafslund Oslo Celsio (Celsio), the largest supplier of district heating in Norway, to develop carbon capture at its waste-to-energy facility at Klemetsrud in Oslo, Norway.

April 8, 2024 – Aker Solutions has been awarded a sizeable [1] EPCIC-contract for the Brasse tieback project for OKEA.  

The Board of Directors of Aker Solutions ASA (“Aker Solutions”) has resolved to initiate a share buy-back program of up to NOK 500 million (the “Share Buy-Back”) as announced in connection with the presentation of Q4 2023 results on February 8, 2024.
