Sound orderbook, strong market outlook, growth in energy transition. Aker Solutions and Kvaerner successfully completed the merger in the fourth quarter 2020.

Orderbook up almost 30 percent, on track for growth and transition. In the second quarter of 2021, Aker Solutions continued to demonstrate that it remains on track with its transformation and strategic growth plans.

Aker Solutions’ revenues, excluding special items, were NOK 4.7 billion and the order intake was NOK 7.1 billion in the third quarter of 2020.

Aker Solutions has signed a contract with Nordic Blue Crude (NBC) for front-end engineering and design (FEED) of a new e-Fuel facility at Herøya in Porsgrunn, Norway. The e-Fuel plant is planned to produce CO2-neutral fuel by using green hydrogen and furnace gas from an existing factory.

9 July, 2020 – Kvaerner delivers strong results for the second quarter, and the order intake establish a platform for growth in both the short and medium term. The longer-term outlook presents further key prospects in Kvaerner’s key market segments, including growth opportunities in renewable business.

Kvaerner has been awarded by Allseas a contract to dismantle and recycle three large topsides, three jackets and four bridges from the Valhall and Hod fields, with a combined weight of 33 000 tonnes, as well as options for another 5 000 tonnes. The assignment will at peak provide work for around 100 persons.

29. september 2020 – Torsdag 1. oktober vil statsminister Erna Solberg sammen med Kværner-lærling Arne Linga starte kutteroboten som markerer byggestarten på Hywind Tampen, verdens største flytende havvindpark. Hywind Tampen er et viktig prosjekt for omstillingen av norsk industri. Byggestarten markerer således også startskuddet for fremtidens industriarbeidsplasser i Kværner.

FASTsubsea and PETRONAS’ subsidiary PETRONAS Research Sdn Bhd signed a Joint Industry Project contract to develop and test a low-cost, topside-less subsea multiphase pump. FASTsubsea is a joint venture between Aker Solutions and FSubsea.
