Open cage is an open cage design, models available for 3000 and 6000 tonnes biomass.

In 2018, Sunnhordland Kraftlag (SKL) decided to build Løkjelsvatn hydropower station in southwestern Norway. The power station uses water from the Løkjelsvatn reservoir. The water is led through tunnels to an underground powerhouse equipped with a Francis (measured as the drop from the reservoir to the turbine). Aker Solutions supplied and installed mechanical equipment in the powerhouse, consisting of a Francis turbine, a main inlet valve, a turbine governor system and a cooling and drainage system. Aker Solutions has the expertise and experience for safe and cost-efficient decommissioning of offshore oil and gas facilities, from studies and engineering to removal, dismantling and recycling.

We deliver solutions for maintenance and modification of existing energy infrastructure, with an end-to-end offering that encompasses decommissioning services such as heavy lifts, reverse installation, removal of subsea infrastructure and onshore demolition, disposal and recycling.
