Processes raw materials (hydrocarbons and other inorganics) into basic chemicals or "commodity chemicals" including polymers, bulk petrochemicals and intermediates, other derivatives and basic industrial chemicals and inorganic chemicals. These products serve as building blocks for a wide range of materials such as solvents, detergents, adhesives, polymers and are used in plastics, resins, fibers, elastomers, lubricants, paints and tires. Our portfolio of experience includes purified terepthalic acid (PTA), methanol, polyolefins, industrial alcohol and carbon black.
Processes crudes and distillates into value added products such as petroleum, naphtha, gasoline, diesel, asphalt base, heating oil, kerosene and liquefied petroleum gas that meet new emission norms. Aker Solutions has a solid track record in the refining sector and extensive greenfield and brownfield engineering experience from refinery projects, covering the entire spectrum of refining operations. Our experience includes engineering of highly corrosive services, high pressure, high temperatures and complex systems.
Receives oil and gas for processing and further export, or clean impurities and non-methane hydrocarbons from raw natural gas so it can be piped for use in private homes and industries.
