Our team in Aberdeen provide front-end studies, engineering, procurement and project management services for initiating and executing oil and gas field, HVDC, renewable energy and carbon capture developments.

Our Consultancy business provides front end/early phase studies and advisory to markets including hydrogen, carbon capture, aquaculture, offshore wind, electrical transmission as well as low carbon oil and gas field development. The team is also developing and expanding our offerings in permitting/licensing, regulatory, due diligence, ESG, and origination. We are looking for a Principal Piping and Layout Designer who wants to join our team and who can strengthen our capabilities

What will you be doing?

As a Prinicipal Piping and Layout Design Engineer within a consultancy environment, you will play a critical role in delivering innovative and efficient piping solutions for oil and gas projects. You will be responsible for:-

  • Developing piping layouts
  • Performing conceptual design in compliance with international codes and internal/client specifications
  • Ensuring optimal integration with process, mechanical, and structural systems
  • Close collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams to resolve design challenges
  • Conduct 3D modelling and clash detection
  • Preparation of technical documentation to support client milestones
  • Aid in internal discussions regarding constructability

We think you should have:

  • A strong understanding of piping materials, stress analysis, and layout optimization is essential
  • Proficiency in industry-standard design tools such as PDMS, E3D, or AutoCAD
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, presentation skills, attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects within tight deadlines while maintaining safety and quality standards
  • Preferable to have current offshore survival and medical
